safe family with smoke alarm

Smoke Alarms

Nobody wants to wake to the threatening smell of smoke and glow from flames, or to see their home turn to ash.

Smoke alarms can save a property, time, and lives, if installed correctly and maintained.

At Ash Monty Electrical, we believe that prevention is the solution to keeping your home and family safe.

Our team recommends the installation of photoelectric smoke alarms . Unlike the cheaper, older technology ionization smoke alarms, photoelectric smoke alarms have the ability to detect early signs of a fire and are less likely to cause false alarms.

We also specialise in testing and replacements to ensure each unit is in perfect working order.

Let us keep your home and family safe.

Exhaust Fans

Exhaust fans are an important part of your home’s ventilation system and are commonly used in kitchens, bathroom, toilets, and laundries to extract to the air outside or into the roof space eliminating any unwanted fumes, odours and moisture.

Back draft stoppers can be added to your exhaust fan, with the shutter automatically closing when the fan isn’t in use to prevent any unwanted cool or hot air entering your home.

At Ash Monty Electrical we can ensure your exhaust fan is correctly positioned and installed for maximum effectiveness.

Switchboard Upgrades

The switchboard is the control panel for the power around your home. Don’t be left in the dark when your switchboard isn’t coping with the electricity demands of modern appliances in and around your home.

Older switchboards are fitted with ceramic fuses that are unreliable, incapable of supporting modern electricity usages, and are a hazard to you and your family.

If you are experiencing any of the following issues, it is time to upgrade:

● Wires or plugs are warm to touch
● Random flickering of lights
● Blowing fuses or tripping switches when two or more appliances are running
● Electric shock when plugging things in
● Power surges or short circuits
● Ceramic fuses/plug in fuses/replaceable wire fuses

A switchboard upgrade with a safety switch installed will provide protection around your home to you and your family, as well as your appliances.

When we are at your place next on a job, ask us to check if your switchboard is compliant with the current standards, and we can provide you with a no-obligation quote.
